KSO 202V and KSO 202VM Single-end service assembled chambers.

Designation

KSO chamber is designed to receive and distribute electric power in electrical facilities with three-phase 50 or 60 Hz alternating current, 6 or 10 kV voltages and with insulated neutral or neutral with Peterson-coil.

KSO switchgears are made to fulfill economic needs of the country and can be used as switchgears (including modular-building installment) with 6-10 kV voltage. KSO Switchgears are designed to receive and distribute electric power in industry, agriculture, electrical stations and substations of railroad transport.

Operational principal is defined by arrangements of main and auxiliary circuitries.

KSO switchgears can be used as high voltage devices for complex transformer substations of KTP-10/0,4 (-10/0,4) and BKTP-10/0,4 (-10/0,4) series with power from 100 to 2500 kVA.

Climatic versions are Y(moderate) and area class is 3 according to GOST 15150-69.

Rated values of climatic version are accorded with GOST 15150-69 and GOST 15543.1-89.

At that:

- environment temperature: from -45 up to +40º, for switchgear with breaker from -25 to +40 º;

- altitude: up to 1000m.

The environment is not explosive, not containing conductive dust, corrosive gases and vapors in high concentrations, which destroying metal and insulation (environment class is II according to GOST 15150-69).

Design

KSO switchgear is metal devices assembled from zinced metal sheets.

Devices of main circuits are placed inside the chamber. Hands of drive and control devices are placed on face side of the KSO switchgear. Relays of protection, control, indication as well as meter and measure devices are installed inside the chamber and on the face side of switchgear.

Access inside the KSO-202V switchgear is provided by means of two doors: upper to the section of high voltage breaker, voltage transformer or fuse; bottom to the section of cable connections, power transformer or disconnector. Between two section there is a removable barrier, which block the access to high voltage section. KSO chamber has windows to observe inside of the chamber.

Busbar bridges of KSO switchgear have net fencing or fencing with viewports on the front. All devices installed inside switchgear that have to be grounded are grounded.

Inside the chamber with cable entry there is an opportunity to use four 3-phase cable with a section up to 240 mm2 or 1-phase plastic-insulated cable with a section up to 500 mm2.

A box placed in the middle of the switchgear are used as a canal for main cables of disconnectors electromagnet and circuits of control and indication.

Additionally there is a terminal block inside the box for between section connections of auxiliary circuits.

To protect from wrong operation during maintenance or repair there are several interlocks in switchgears:

1. mechanical:

  •  interlock to protect from turning on or off linear and bus desconnectors while high voltage breaker is still on;
  •  An interlock to prevent turning on groundings blades if working blades of disconnector are on;
  •  An interlock to prevent turning on disconnector if groundings blades are on;

2. electrical:

  •  Interlock that prevent turning on the high voltage breaker if disconnector is in intermediate position;
  •  Interlock that prevent turning on feeders breaker and section breaker if groundings blades of busbar grounding is on.

By special request for other kinds of protection according to main circuit arrangement additional locks and control contact of grounding disconnector can be installed.

In double-row arrangement of KSO chamber busbar bridges are installed. Busbar bridge is a metal construction made from two frame with insulators, busbars and busbar holdings.
