KSO 307 Single-end service assembled chamber.

Designation

KSO 307 single-end service assembled chamber is designed to receive and distribute electric power in electrical facilities with three-phase 50 or 60 Hz alternating current, 6 or 10 kV voltages and with insulated neutral or neutral with Peterson-coil; to open and close load current and fault current; to control and protect lines and power distribution transformers in industrial facilities and mines, high-rise buildings, homes, assembled substations etc.

KSO switchgear are made for domestic use as well as for export. Several KSO 307 chambers can be combined into switchgears for receiving and distributing electric power.

Operational principal is defined by arrangements of main and auxiliary circuitries.

KSO switchgears can be used as high voltage devices for complex transformer substations of KTP-10/0,4 (-10/0,4) and BMKTP-10/0,4 (-10/0,4) series with power from 100 to 3150 kVA.

Climatic versions are Y(moderate) and area class is 3 according to GOST 15150-69.

KSO-307 switchgears are made according to technical specification BKGI.674731.185 TY (.674731.185 ).

Climatic version of KSO is Y (moderate) and area class is 3;

Overall dimension and mounting dimension of KSO switchgear are described in appendix A.

Rated values of climatic version are accorded with GOST 15150-69 and GOST 15543.1-89.

At that:

- environment temperature: from -25 up to +40º,

- atmospheric type is II (industrial) as to GOST 15150-69;

- altitude: up to 1000m.

The environment is not explosive, not containing conductive dust, corrosive gases and vapors in high concentrations, which destroying metal and insulation.

Design

KSO switchgear is metal devices assembled from zinced metal sheets. Front doors are made from rolled steel sheets and painted with powder paint RAL 7035.

Devices of main circuit are placed inside chamber. Circuit-breaker operator, indication, signalization and control devices are placed on front panels of KSO chamber.

KSO chamber has windows to observe inside of chamber and to control position of grounding blades.

On installation frame of switchgear is connected to metal ground.

Ground bars are painted in black or yellow-grin stripes.

Devices for auxiliary connections are placed inside relay panel. Devices for indication and control are installed on the door of relay panel. Inside relay panel there are also terminal block, to which backbone cables of auxiliary circuit are connected passing through windows in relay panel.

To protect from wrong operation during maintenance or repair there are several interlocks in switchgears:

  • An interlock to prevent doors opening while load-breaker is on;
  • An interlock to prevent doors opening while grounding blades are disconnected;
  • An interlock preventing turning on commutation devices while door of high voltage devices is opened;
  • An interlock to prevent turning on grounding blades if working blades of isolating switches or load-breakers are on;
  • An interlock to prevent turning on isolating switches if grounding blades are on;

Note - for other kinds of protection according to main circuit arrangement additional locks and control contact using in signalization and automation circuits can be installed according to special request.
