Single-end service assembled chamber of KSO 306 and KSO 306 SHVV series.

Designation.

KSO 306 single-end service assembled chamber is designed to receive and distribute electric power in electrical facilities with three-phase 50 or 60 Hz alternating current, 6 or 10 kV voltages and with insulated neutral or neutral with Peterson-coil.

KSO-306 SHVV is designed for high-voltage feeder for different facilities with 6 or 10 kV voltage.

Climatic versions are Y(moderate) or T(warm), and area class is 3 according to GOST 15150. Rated values of climatic factors are accorded to GOST 15150 and GOST 15543.1.

  • Ambient temperature: -45 C to +40 C
  • Altitude: up to 1000m.
  • Level 9 of MSK Earthquake Scale
  • The environment is not explosive, not containing conductive dust, corrosive gases and vapors in concentrations enough to destroy metal.

Components

Depending on build-in equipment KSO can be divided into several types:

  • KSO cabinet with load-breaker VNA (); VNP-M1 (-1);
  • KSO cabinet with load-breakers and fuses;
  • KSO cabinet with voltage transformers NOM(), NAMI(), NAMIT(), NTMI(), NOL.08(.08) and with antiresonance group 3ZNOL.06(3.06), 3ZNOLP.06(3.06);
  • KSO cabinet with load-breakers and fuses;
  • KSO cabinet with isolating switch RVZ for 630 A and PR-10 (-10) leverage;
  • KSO cabinet with surge protector;

Design

All mechanisms, current conducting parts, insulating devices, mounts and supporting frames are designed in a way to protect maintenance staff and insulation in KSO chamber from ejected gas and oil. KSO chamber has front window to control position of switching devices.

Inside all chambers there is a receptacle for light bulb with opportunity to safely change the light bulb without turning off power in main or supplementary circuits. There are also sockets for mobile lamps and switch for inside lighting on the front door.

Doors can be locked with keys.

There are several protection interlocks in KSO chamber:

  • An interlock to prevent doors opening while load-breaker is on;
  • An interlock to prevent doors opening while grounding blades are disconnected;
  • An interlock to prevent turning on grounding blades if working blades of isolating switches or load-breakers are on;
  • An interlock to prevent turning on isolating switches if grounding blades are on;

For other kind of protection according to main circuit arrangement additional locks and circuit breaker detectors can be installed for special request.

KSO-306 chambers can be connected with other chambers of KSO 300 series by using connecting panels.

Connection of busbar of two KSO chambers placed in front of each other (fig. 2.4, 2.5) can be done by busbar bridge or cable bridge. Busbar bridge is produced for special request. Length of cable bridge is made for 2000 mm, 2500 mm or 3000 mm distance between two chambers.

Bus bridges are manufactured with or without isolating switch. Leverage of isolating switch is placed on special panels (fig. 2.5).
